On this day we hiked part of the E4 path on the South coast of Crete, between Paleochora and Elafonissi.
The path goes up and down along the beautiful coastline, with wide open views of this corner of the island, in extremely vivid colours, through an endemic juniper forest. We saw the ruins of an ancient temple in a secluded bay, there is snorkelling in the clearest water and we even walked a small gorge.
It’s a day long excursion that offers some of the best coastal scenery on Crete, great for those who love to mix walking and snorkelling or just jumping in the sea.
